The world of missions is changing and changing fast! Countries are being closed to the Gospel; which means that the old ways of spreading God’s love and forgiveness may not work anymore. However, Galcom International has created a way to “multiply missionary impact through audio technology” (which is Galcom’s tag line).
Constantly changing means of communication are opening up new ways for the Gospel to be heard in previously unreached areas. Galcom radios provide real-time information, available 24 hours a day in order to present the most recent news and updates, as well as broadcasting the Gospel message in real time as the speaker preaches.
Christian radio has the ability to travel beyond borders to countries in which the Gospel is not welcomed and reliable world news is scarce. If internet access is blocked or phone lines are cut, radio still has the ability to expand a missionary’s range with the Good News. Radio can reach remote areas of the world that is difficult to reach by vehicle or on foot. This picture is of a Quechua woman living in a remote area of Bolivia.
While other forms of communication are becoming obsolete in the future (like newspapers), radio continues to be relevant.
One way you can help us send radios overseas is by giving a donation. If you would like to donate, please visit http://www.galcom.org/get-involved/donate/.
